As you can see below, this boat offers many amenities that that of a traditional cruise ship has (as I write this I’m cringing with regret for not taking part in this adventure) and is built to cater specifically to college students. Each semester, whether its spring, summer, or fall, offers a different charter so no two journeys are the same. One caveat as I’m guessing you already had a suspicion of is that Semester at Sea is a little more costly than your average study abroad extravaganza. In 2018 the fees started at $25,074 and that’s without expenses you occur on land. Nevertheless, after talking to friends, it is definitely worth it if you can find a way. I’m currently working on a blog post about regret and I don’t see a way that anyone could regret this experience no matter what the cost.
